North Gaza: Satellite Imagery
North Gaza Governorate is the Gaza Strip’s northernmost administrative division, covering approximately 61 square kilometers. It borders Israel to the north and east and the Mediterranean Sea to the west. Before October 7, 2023, the governorate was home to approximately 448,000 people. Its principal urban centers are Jabalia — the governorate’s largest city — alongside Beit Hanoun and Beit Lahiya. The Jabalia refugee camp, adjacent to the city of the same name, is the largest refugee camp in the Gaza Strip and one of the most densely populated places on Earth.
